Shanghai Electric set in motion its 2020 campus recruitment session featuring "green environmental protection and smart connectivity" on August 26.
To carry out the three-step strategy, the HR department at Shanghai Electric has worked on a new round of recruitment in the first half under the guidance of the senior management about personnel development. In principle, the recruitment campaign will dramatically focus on emerging industries that Shanghai Electric is involved, and new hires are largely channeled to key companies and overseas projects. This year Shanghai Electric opens around 1,000 vacancies in nine categories: engineering project, intelligent manufacturing, R&D and design, and IT technologies, and more than 60% of the positions are in direct service for key or emerging industries across all business segments.
The campus recruitment is held under a slogan "Empowering Global Industry and Creating A Better Intelligent Life" to highlight a new image of Shanghai Electric in industrial transformation and emerging industries. Besides routine promotion in booklets and posters, we have stepped up efforts in online marketing to attract high-quality graduates while consolidating our popularity in higher learning schools. According to HR staff, the group adopts a two-pronged approach that combines the routine practice of web page and website advertisement with new media—a WeChat public account "Shanghai Electric Micro Recruitment" that caters to the post 95s. A concise and lively image-text job announcement can help attract more resumes.
It is learned that Shanghai Electric will launch its first info session in Dalian University of Technology this Wednesday, and more in over 20 colleges and universities including Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Tsinghua University in the next one month and a half. Shanghai Electric is embracing an ever increasingly global team. Therefore, overseas campus talks will be organized for the first time in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles to attract more outstanding Chinese overseas students. An online talk is also available to seek and invite excellent Chinese students worldwide.
