The 88th Izmir International Fair was unveiled in the third largest city of Turkey Izmir on September 6 (local time). As a guest of honor, China staged its CSITF Turkey at the fair. Shanghai Electric showcased its developments in energy efficiency and industrial equipment, and shared the idea of green economy.
As an integral part of the exhibition, China-Turkey Economic and Trade Forum kicked off on the morning of the day. Shanghai Electric, one of the business representatives, delivered a keynote speech, introducing its development and expressing the willingness to build friendship with local enterprises.
The fair features a variety of fields: smart city, information communication, energy equipment, nuclear power industry, engineering services, and robot, and 35 Shanghai enterprises attended the fair.
On September 9 (local time), the 24th World Energy Congress themed by "Energy for Prosperity" brought together international energy stakeholders in Abu Dhabi, capital of United Arab Emirates. Shanghai Electric presented a vivid picture of smart energy with its integrated energy solutions that are more intelligent, interconnected, and greener.
Zhu Zhaokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at Shanghai Electric Group, toured around the venue, and met with Paddy Padmanathan, CEO of ACWA Power, conducting in-depth exchanges on further communication and cooperation. Dong Yijun, the group's Party Committee member and Head of the Corporate Culture Department, accompanied him.
A massively popular model of Dubai 950MW concentrated solar power (CSP) + PV project drew the attention of many audiences. Highlights also include integrated solutions to realize both solar power generation and seawater-freshwater transition, IGCC power plant model, the supply chain of nuclear power products, three-dimensional wind farm that covers full life cycle of wind power, biomass power generation sand table, and integrated management platform for power transmission and distribution.
The triennial World Energy Congress is widely known as the "Olympics" of the energy industry.
