Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator has recently been awarded a tender to install 53 high-speed elevators in Hangzhou Shimao Wisdom Gate, a new world-class landmark.
The Wisdom Gate, a 272 m twin-tower development on the bank of the Qiantang River, will become a new landmark in Hangzhou, a leading hub for the Internet of Things (IoT). Developed by Shimao Property, the structure covers a total area of 380,000 m2, and features two 272 m high-rise towers which are decorated with "light" ribbons to symbolize tidal flows in the Qiantang River. The local culture genes are organically integrated to make the high-rise a dynamic statue in the city.
"Intelligence" is the soul to the development. Supported by the IoT, big data, AI, and other advanced technologies, the Wisdom Gate will create a new level of comfortable, smart office. As China's Best Super High-rise in the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2018, the structure will be completed and put into use in 2020.
Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator will supply elevators for the building, including 53 high-speed elevators. The structure will be equipped with four notable Mitsubishi 8 m/s NexWay elevators which are also installed in such domestic renowned buildings as Shanghai Tower, New CCTV Tower, and Shandong International Financial Center, and 14 MAXIEZ-H high-speed elevators that run at 6 m/s or 5 m/s.
