On May 1, 1980, Shanghai Boiler Works was officially demerged into Shanghai Boiler Works and Shanghai Power Plant Auxiliary Equipment Plant and became an independent boiler manufacture.

In 1958, a new factory was prepared to be built on Huaning Road, Minhang District. China’s first large factory professionally for boilers manufacture was established.

On September 1, 1953, the plant was renamed State-owned Shanghai Boiler Works.

On September 6, 1952, the Andersen Meyer factory was merged with the production and cooperation factory, and was renamed Pujiang Machine Plant.

In 1921, Andersen Meyer factory was founded and then developed into a specialized machine manufacturer.
