The 2019 International Energy Summit and the 9th Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises Summit, co-hosted by China Energy News, were recently held in Taiyuan, Shanxi province. The event unveiled the 2019 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises List, in which Shanghai Electric ranked 69th, 12 places up compared with last year. Shanghai Electric has made it to the list's top 100 for five years in a row.
The lowest operating revenue of the top 500 enterprises this year is RMB 1.423 billion, nearly the same as it was last year. Since the implementation of the "three-step" strategy, Shanghai Electric has made a strong move toward being more eco-friendly, intelligent and interconnected and has increased its efforts to explore new energy markets. This year, the company has won a number of wind power and CSP + PV contracts from developed markets such as Europe, Australia, and Japan.
Jointly released by China Energy News and China Institute of Energy Economics, the Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises List is designed to provide an authoritative evaluation on the new energy industry. The list has become an indicator of the essential features, latest changes and important trends of the global new energy industry.
